Shinobu Yajima (Souno 宗乃) born in Tokyo, Japan, has practiced the way of tea (Chadō Urasenke) for more than 15 years. She began her training in Canada under Shin Soufu (宗楓), a direct student of the 15th Uransenke grand Master, Soushitsu XV.

Now based in the Netherlands, she continues studying the way of tea with her teacher in Japan deepening her practice and understanding. She welcomes guests to her Japanese tearoom in Twello, offering tea experiences, workshops and ongoing lessons. Through her workshop -including collaborations with the international Tea and Coffee Academy- she shares the beauty and spirits of Chado: harmony, respect, purity and tranquility.
